Weave

Hey guys, this is some really old work that i did back in my days at Parsons. It was my senior project in the animation and illustration department. I never finished the animaton to my liking, but i do like what is there.

I started out with some sketches of the characters to get a better idea of their personality. This actually helps develop the story a lot more. I had an entire sketchbook devoted to this project. These are only a few of the sketches.

These are a few 360 turn arounds.

This character is the one that started the story for me even though it only appears on screen for 2 minutes. The final color i went with was the light tan.

The main character Simon.

This is Liad, one of Simon's classmates.

The whole story actually follows the boy Simon from the age of 8 until he's 14 or so. However, it was impossible for me to fully animate all of it and i only did a mood piece for it.

Hey, so this is a spot on Telemundo to promote the show Quinceaneara. All rights to this video is property of Telemundo/NBC of course.

And this is the storyboard i did for it. Hmmm,...i guess i did make it a bit too dirty, but i still like it!

Ghostfoot Comic

Although, i'm not in love with the anime style that was requested for this, i do really like the way the layout turned out. I did the character design, layout, penciling and inking for this job. Please note that the shading and coloring have not been added.

Haha...can you tell? I don't like drawing in the typical anime style. However, i do love the genre in animation.

The name of the show is Ghostfoot. It was pitched to Cartoon Network in 2005~2006.

Oooh Vampires beware!

Ha, since i've gotten my scanner, it doesn't appear that i've put it to much use....but all in good time. here are some old sketches frum ze stacks. As you can see in the right most seed, the scanner isn't so hot. It tends to blur when the paper lifts up even a bit from the glass. These were scanned at 300 dpi and scaled down. However, it seems that at 600 dpi, the quality doesn't really look any better than 300 dpi. there are just more pixels. So for now, this scanner is only for blogging. Perhaps i will invest in a better quality scanner in the future for actual digital work.

some reindeers for holiday cheer!!!...they kinda look like whales...

Ooooh~...watch out for this guy. He was drawing on the train. Ithought it was pretty cool that some guy all dressed up in a business suit was breaking out his sketchbook on the train, so i busted out mine and drew him. Sadly, it turned out he was really a 14 yo boy in disguise drawing stiff asian ninja girls in masks with broomstick hair.

I used to have a thing for femmy boys slurping peaches....Guess i still do... The scan on this was atrocious btw. The yellow didn't really turn out. Then again it was highlighter yellow and flourescent colors never turn out well. They also wash out the rest of the scan with their brilliant light reflecting qualities

Something to calm you down after the above picture.

hmmm....perhaps i had a thing for butch fems too?

oh.....this is new. Yeah its been a while since i've drawn much. It's not much, but it's a start.

Something pretty for the summer perhaps?

Not bad. Drew it earlier today.

Ooooh...and looky what i found last night when i was cooking. Have you ever seen such a huge clove of garlic? My roommate hates it when i put too much garlic in the food. He's part vampire and he likes his burgers medium rare. Anyway he says i should only put one glove of garlic in a dish. Well ladies and gents, this looks like the one clove of garlic i will put in my one dish.

Dated imagery

An old illustration of mine. I wonder when it'll cease to be applicable.
